I'd be grateful to anyone who can explain and demonstrate (with a video, perhaps) how to use this (or a new) Aggregate Device on my Mac, where SoundFlower acts as the input, and Built-in Output is the output, so that I can successfully route audio that's playing from any and all applications into my Mixbus v3. I've tried choosing 'Aggregate Device' for both but that doesn't seem to do the trick. In the former, I simply chose 'Aggregate Device' in the 'Interface'pop-up, but in v3 I need to independently select Output and Input interfaces. I also note that the Audio Setup tab, in the Open Session dialog of v2.5, is different than that same tab in v3. (I understood how to control it in 2.5 but it's eluding me in 3.) I do note that the control of audio routing in v3 is markedly different than in v2.5. I am simply trying to figure out how to do exactly the same thing within Mixbus v3 and, so far, I have not been successful. I have included the audio input and output routing chosen in Mixbus v2.5.

If within the Mac Audio Device control panel I chose the Aggregate as the output device, I could then get all the output audio that was produced from any application (e.g., Firefox, the Mac Finder, Audacity, etc.) to stream, via SoundFlower, in to the input audio (1/2) within my Mixbus audio tracks.ДЄnd if I assigned outs 3 & 4 for the Master (in Mixbus v2.5) and raised the input audio track faders, while playing audio out of some other application, I would then hear the audio flow into the Mixbus processes and out the Mixbus Master, ultimately resulting in audible output via my Built-In Output (line/headphone outputs). (Outputs 1 & 2 are used by SoundFlower, as are inputs 1 & 2.) Note that I defined outputs 3 & 4 and assigned Built-in Output to those. I've attached a screendump of my Mac (settings) Audio Device configuration showing the Aggregate Device I created. I cannot figure out how make v3 work with the Aggregate Device that I created and used very successfully with v2.5.

I believe the aggregate device method may fail if you define devices in the wrong order. I have been able to get some obs audio routed in via soundflower as main output in djay with a multi-out device but it was glitchy. I have also spend hours trying variations, looked at about 10 text/image and youtube explainers. I've gotten closer with soundflower, but don't get full quality sound (there's some kind of buffer sync/stuttering and I can't control the buffer size). I downloaded and reinstalled soundflower as well as the sometimes mentioned IShowU.

I'm having a similar experience with a Scarlet 2x4, 15 in Macbook pro 2013, 10.12. I have the latest OBS release (25.0.8) and Duet 2 USB firmware. MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) running OS X 10.13.6 High Sierra. So in the end, I can EITHER send audio to OBS via Soundflower and lose my main outputs, OR send audio to my main outputs and lose my Soundflower>OBS connection. Otherwise Soundflower is routing to OBS just fine without the multi-output device, and all 4 outputs on my Duet are working fine without it as well. I've done a ton of troubleshooting with various combinations of applications + I/O etc, and deduced that the problem must be between the multi-output device and the Duet, or possibly with Djay Pro's ability to work with multi output devices. 1) I don't hear any audio coming from 3/4 headphone mix, and 2) my OBS does not register any audio from my Soundflower 1/2 output device.

Problem: When I set everything up as instructed- routing Djay Pro Main out to Multi-Output Device, and pre-cue out Duet 3/4-I run into two issues. I've installed Soundflower as my internal audio router, which should allow me to send to both OBS and my interface, by creating a multi-output device. Goal: Streaming a DJ set (using Djay Pro software) via OBS, while using a Duet 2 USB as my audio interface- sending my main mix out 1/2 speakers, and headphone mix out 3/4.
